Setting up waivers
Updated 25 Sep 2026
Collect signed waivers from every guest — on a venue iPad or on their own phone.
Create a waiver form
- Go to Settings → Waivers.
- Add a form with a name (e.g. "General Waiver") and the waiver text.
- Under Applies to, keep All products or choose specific ones.
- Decide whether minors need a guardian. By default a guardian must co-sign for anyone under 18; you can change the age.
Changing a form's text creates a new version, so earlier signatures stay tied to the wording the guest actually signed. Archive a form to stop using it; Reactivate brings it back. Your plan may cap how many forms can be active at once — the page shows how many you're using.
Getting guests to sign
From POS check-in, staff can either:
- hand over the venue iPad for the guest to sign on screen, or
- show a QR code — the guest scans it and signs on their own phone. The code is valid for 30 minutes and the screen updates by itself once they've signed.
Each booking's details show waiver progress, for example Waiver 2/4.
Heads upWaiver links aren't included in confirmation emails yet, and an unsigned waiver doesn't block check-in — keep an eye on the waiver count at the door.
